All vacancies for our 2022 and 2023 training contracts have been filled and as a result, we will not be opening for Graduate Programme (Training Contract) applications this year.

We have a common start date of mid-August for all of our graduates.

Yes. Our Graduate Programme operates internationally. You will have the opportunity to apply for both types of secondment during your Graduate programme.

Typically, each international secondment at the graduate level last for six months.

All fees related to completing your professional studies (e.g. - FE1 exam fees) are compensated by DLA Piper.

To apply, you must submit an application through the early-careers recruitment website. When applying, you will need to upload a copy of your CV. You are not required to submit a cover letter and these are not reviewed. We are unable to accept applications by email.

We have no minimum academic requirements for our Ireland early-careers programmes.

We are unable to accept applications after the programme deadlines.

Please complete the 'Other Education' section on the application form for all examinations completed outside of Ireland. There is no need to attempt to convert your grades into the Irish equivalent.

Yes, absolutely. We do not expect applicants to have had any prior experience in law. We welcome applications from candidates that have a broad range backgrounds, experiences and achievements.

You will need to provide evidence of your academic achievements (e.g. exam certificates/transcripts) if you are offered a position at DLA Piper.

Yes, you can. Our testing partner has a practice website where you can complete questions similar to what you'll see in the real test. We recommend that you practice before taking the real test. That way, you'll know what to expect and nothing about the format or process will come as a surprise. The practice test site is here.

• Summer Internship: When applying for the Summer Internship, you must hold the appropriate visa (for example, Student Visa (if out of term time)) that will allow you to work full time and complete a 3 week placement during late June / early July 2022. DLA Piper will not support visa applications for the Summer Internship.

• International Graduate Programme: DLA Piper will support the application for a visa / work permit as required for the country in which the candidate has secured their offer. The visa application is subject to the immigration process in each country, and securing the work permit/ visa is not guaranteed. Any offer we extend is conditional upon the visa application being approved. If a visa is not secured, the offer of employment will be withdrawn.
